Every input above maps to one of four cost drivers. We show the math so you can sanity-check the result against your own books. All assumptions are conservative — the actual ceiling is usually higher.

After configurator: we assume 85% reduction in hours per quote (industry benchmark from 250+ deployments).

Output range bands: low = total × 0.65 (conservative), high = total × 1.0 (realistic ceiling). Bands are designed so the actual savings observed in past engagements are within the displayed range in ~80% of cases.

Common questions about the calculator.
The defaults per industry segment are based on aggregated data from 250+ deployments across US construction product manufacturers. They are not invented — but they are also not your business. The point of the sliders is to overwrite them with your actual numbers. If your inputs feel high or low relative to defaults, that's the most useful signal the calculator produces.
The displayed range uses a conservative band: the low end is 65% of the calculated total. In past engagements, actual realized savings landed within the displayed range in roughly 4 out of 5 cases. Outliers — manufacturers with very low current automation, very high quote volume, or large dealer networks — typically exceed the high end. We deliberately do not show the unconstrained number.
Because the right build for a $15M roofing manufacturer is not the same as the right build for a $90M door manufacturer with a 200-dealer network. A "starting from" anchor would mis-set expectations and waste discovery-call time. We give you a written fixed-price proposal after the discovery call, scoped against the inputs you put into this calculator.
That's expected — overwrite every slider. The calculator is built to handle wide ranges. If your numbers are outside the slider ranges (very large enterprise volumes, or sub-$5M revenue), the discovery call is the right place to scope it — the calculator gives you a directional read, not a contractual figure.
